a powerful magus & master artist, kayneth is prideful & confident in the skills he possesses. to most, he is seen as cold, distant, & sometimes downright cruel. as a prodigy, he has stood out from his peers from the beginning, the contrast between himself & others leaving him isolated, unless others wished to get close in hopes of using him as a way to reach higher goals of their own. his family is one of the few who are considered friends to the barthomeloi family.as a child, kayneth wore his heart on his sleeve, which left him vulnerable to emotional damage. as he grew up, he did what he could to try to protect what was left of his heart. this is what leads him to become the distant person he seems to be in the holy grail war. despite how cold he is to most, he is incredibly devoted to those he loves, & as seen in his horrible relationship with sola ui, he can become completely servile in attempts to gain affection from his loved one in return. notedly, kayneth is also incredibly prone to jealousy toward anyone who receives attention from his loved ones, which leads to his downfall in the war.after the war, he seems to mellow out, still reclusive, he focuses on art & eventually comes to terms with the loss of his magecraft. without the stress of the expectations of the association, he is more at ease, showing more of the kindhearted person he was as a child.

kayneth is noted to be ’ the greatest prodigy of eulyphis ’ as well as one of the greatest magi of the modern age. he possesses a dual affinity to wind & water, rare among magi. with the nine generation archibald crest behind him, he is also a master in summoning, alchemy, necromancy, & evocation, the latter which he teaches. kayneth is also capable of creating powerful bounded fields, making himself invisible & disguising his voice, as displayed as he watched the fight between lancer & saber at the docks. he can still be sought out with a heat scope. he’s skilled in healing, as he is capable of tending to his servant’s wounds without leaving a trace.kayneth also displays the ability to overwrite the workings of summoning to split the command seals & mana for his servant. usually, only the members of the founding families ( tohsakas, matous, einzberns ) are able to tamper with this.NOTABLE SKILLS, DETAILSSUMMONING honestly, see spiritual evocation…ALCHEMY alchemy in itself revolves around the concept of equivalent exchange; give something, get something of an equal amount of that which you gave. kayneth doesn’t really rely on alchemy until scenarios where he’s lost his magecraft & has survived the war, in which case, he uses alchemy to create various contraptions around the mansion he lives in so he can live a relatively independent life. he’s too prideful to ask for help … from the typemoon wiki: alchemy is a school that aims at the study & manipulation of the flow of matter.NECROMANCY from the typemoon wiki : necromancy is a practice born through the manipulation of corpses. performing feats like raising simple zombies or giving birth to cobbled monsters, they are magi who reside over death. their craft requires a large amount of dead bodies, & rather than steal from graveyards or morgues, most acquire their wares from the battlefield. flocking to war, those most proficient in their craft are said to have a fate of taking the greatest joys in gathering resources from the wakes of revolutions, coup d'etats, or any massive destruction resulting in genocide. as there has never been an end to war since ancient times, they have never been far from danger, experimenting with their own lives on the line & sometimes having to battle their own rampaging creations. considered to be irrational by other magi, they are some of the few who gladly charge into the battlefields of the world. kayneth’s mastery over necromancy has nothing to do with a desire to see war or anything that would be’ typical’ of a necromancer. instead, this is his alternative to the forbidden taboos of alchemy. he believes that through necromancy, he will not have to pay the price that an alchemist would to revive another… or, until he actually attempted this in his teen years. he learned the truth of necromancy & how what he wished for would never come to be. the mangled thing he revived cost him nothing but emotional stability & the revived body was returned to the afterlife when kayneth lit the warehouse he performed the spell in on fire. he never attempted necromancy again, although retains mastery over its theory.
SPIRITUAL EVOCATION from the typemoon wiki: spiritual evocation designated as (iii) & the faculty of the eulyphis family […] it studies the magecraft of summoning spiritual beings that work through a spiritual medium such as spiritual surgery, spiritual possession […]. as a child, kayneth would practice summoning with various relics he received from his father. since his summons took place only as practice & outside of a grail war, as well as the fact that he was only a child, the 'command seals’ he possessed would fade after anywhere between three days to one week, & the mana flow to any servant he successfully called would also cease, whether he wanted it to or not.BOUNDED FIELDS "a 24 layered bounded field" around the hotel he stayed in wtf kayneth chill out. his bounded fields are advanced & deadly. in the fourth grail war, he creates a bounded field within which has many traps, doors leading to other dimensions, wandering spirits & the likes. this bounded field for the war was "the magecraft castle of lord el-melloi". as a note, this is like having an a rank territory creation skill, "the creation of a temple is possible" …ILLUSIONS it is noted that kayneth was capable of making himself invisible & cloaking his voice so others would not be able to tell whether or not the voice was of a male or female …MYSTIC CODES kayneth brought many mystic codes with him to the fourth war. while he is likely capable of using multiples at once, his favored mystic code is VOLUMEN HYDRAGYRUM, a mystic code of mercury, known as the marrow of the moon spirit. this mystic code is suitd to his dual affinity to wind & water, he wields it to the point of perfection. it has the ability to do many things, & he can shape it to his will.ELEMENTAL AFFINITY kayneth has a dual affinity to wind & water, a rare combination among magi. wind is one of the great five elements. deals with air, kinetic forces, static energy, free energy & directed movement. water is one of the great five elements. related to flows, forms, cycles, combinations & manipulations.NON MAGECRAFT THINGSGENIUS LEVEL INTELLECT that’s sorta self explanatory, he’s noted multiple times to be a prodigy in many areas.ART also noted to have great skill in drawing, painting, & sculpting, he could be compared to da vinci & michelangelo. his art goes for millions at auctions & it’s honestly how he preserved his own fortune after the downfall of his faction & family.INVENTING much like da vinci, kayneth was also capable of designing & building various devices. this talent is most evident after the war, as he has created many contraptions that have allowed him to live independently, despite his handicap.
